Acquisition of Intercept Trégor

01/01/2024

AMG Microwave strengthens its presence in the radio frequency sector with the acquisition of Intercept Trégor.

Founded in 1996 in Lannion by Alain Séhan, this design office specializing in the design of radio frequency circuits for instrumentation has changed ownership, now under the direction of Jean-Luc Alanic and François Moysan, directors of AMG Microwave. Intercept’s products are used in astronomy, defense and aboard satellites. This union offers Intercept customers a global technical offering, while AMG Microwave explores new development opportunities in sectors of excellence. A promising alliance that strengthens AMG’s position in the constantly evolving field of radio frequency.

AMG has developed several Bluetooth® interfaces to connect its products. Installation, operation and maintenance of the sensors and hardware are within the reach of Android.

The first application is now available to connect the Hekleo 2XS Beacon Radar. Users have praised the radio interface – safe and easy to use – and it saves considerable time in checking buoys at sea. It also avoids the need for time-consuming assembly and disassembly.

The Pôle Mer Atlantique, Océole and the Institut Maritime de Prévention have organised a Call for Expression of Interest – AMI – on the “Maritime Safety of Floating Wind Turbines”. After a first selection, six projects were presented to the jury during the SEANERGY exhibition held on 15 and 16 June in Le Havre. Jean Luc ALANIC proposed a new buoy project, which caught the attention of the jury. Along with two other candidates, AMG was chosen as the winner of the AMI “Maritime Safety of Floating Wind Turbines”. For AMG, it was above all two days of rich meetings between all the participants and the AMI organisers.

Modulation, demodulation, microwaves are the intermediate frequencies of optical signals, for sensor or data transmission applications.
For several months, AMG has been building its skills in this sector, particularly in the transmission of very high speed data. Component evaluation, performance test as many subjects or AMG can help you!
