Micro radars are most often with linear polarization. They are tested with RTS (Radar Target Simulator).
To perform the test, you must align the polarization of the radar with that of the RTS. Using circularly polarized antennas removes this polarization alignment. Wrong diagnoses are thus avoided.
Circular antennas also allow more constant propagation and less sensitivity to the characteristics of the materials.
